Residents may use their wood-burning stoves again in Yakima County.

The Yakima Regional Clean Air Authority lifted the burn ban Wednesday as it applies to home heating.

Agricultural and outdoor burning are still prohibited.

The Environmental Protection agency has decided to keep in place its ban on outdoor burning on the Yakama reservation. Ceremonial burning is not affected.

The agency is expected to review that status Friday, according to a news release from the local air authority.
