Pickett -- 60 Years

Carl and Rebecca Pickett of Yakima celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary May 3 with a family lunch. The event was hosted by their children.

Carl Pickett and Rebecca Rockwell were married Feb. 15, 1948, at the bride's parents' home in West Wapato. They are lifelong area residents.

Mr. and Mrs. Pickett farmed in the Harrah area.

The couple has two children, Steve Pickett and Larry Pickett, both of Yakima. They also have four grandchildren.

 

Kramer -- 50 Years

Orville and Jacquie Kramer of Yakima celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary May 3. They also plan a private dinner and reception at Zesta Cucina's Avanti room with family and close friends on June 28 and a trip to Puerto Vallarta with their daughter and son-in-law this winter.

Orville Kramer and Jacquie Wood were married May 3, 1958, in Superior, Mont. They have lived in the area for 48 years.

Mr. Kramer retired from Boise Cascade in 1997, after 38 years. Mrs. Kramer is a homemaker and Bible teacher.

The couple has two children, Shelly Fickel of Yakima and Kristine Dwinell of Twisp, Wash. They also have four grandchildren.

 

Butler -- 25 Years

William and Debra Butler of West Valley celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary May 2 with a buffet dinner at the Apple Tree Restaurant. The event was hosted by Nyda Damaskas, Betty Butler and Keith Butler. They also plan a cruise to Alaska this summer.

William Butler and Debra Damaskas were married May 7, 1983, at Westminster Presbyterian Church. They have lived in the area for 50 years.

Mr. Butler has worked 29 years with Longview Fibre in the maintenance department. Mrs. Butler has worked 27 years as sample room coordinator and technical lab worker at Shield Bag and Printing.

The couple has two children, April Butler of Yakima and Amanda Butler of Seattle.
