  <body>&lt;p&gt;&lt;em&gt;As we gather around our dinner tables this holiday season, it&amp;rsquo;s important to remember that far too many people in the Yakima Valley have little to celebrate.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;We don&amp;rsquo;t always see their faces, yet we can&amp;rsquo;t deny their pain.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Unfortunately, the agencies that screen the children, adults and seniors seeking assistance are stretched to their limits. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So they&amp;rsquo;re hoping you can help during this Season of Sharing.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;With information provided by local social service organizations, here are those in our community who need your compassion.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The rest is up to you ...&lt;/em&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Financial hardships, health issues and divorce have hit this family hard this year.&amp;nbsp;The mother is a full-time student at Yakima Valley Community College earning her degree in the Nursing Aid Certificate Program. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The family&amp;rsquo;s most immediate needs this year are gas for school and food for the holidays and winter months. A few household items they need are shampoo, conditioner, dish soap, paper towels, garbage bags, disinfectants, laundry soap, bleach, toilet paper, fabric softener, fruit, coloring books, crayons and a gas card.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Girl, 10, wears size 4 women&amp;rsquo;s clothing and shoes 9 1/2. She would like some CDs.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Girl, 8, wears size 14 girl&amp;rsquo;s clothing and shoes size 2 kids.
