&lt;p&gt;Concert caps music conference&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The Music Arts Revival Mission conference continues today at Valley Fellowship of Yakima.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The two-day conference began Friday and features saxophonist Ron Brown, guitarist Caleb Quaye, bassist Donald Patterson and percussionist David Cowan.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;These musicians have played with Elton John, Paul McCartney, Mick Jagger, Stevie Wonder, Whitney Houston and many others.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Yakima's Debra Hardy is leading the vocal workshops.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;MARM's vision is to impact the world through the gift of music and the arts.  Registration is $40 per person and is available for a single person or an entire worship team.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The conference and concert are sponsored by The Pastors Who Drink Coffee, an interdenominational group of senior pastors in Yakima.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Diwali celebration is tonight&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Yakima's Hindu and Sikh communities are throwing a Diwali celebration tonight.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Diwali, or India's "festival of lights," is a holiday with varying significance across the country. It's marked by lighting small oil lamps, exchanging sweets and displaying a lot of fireworks. For Hindus, it observes a spiritual triumph of good over evil.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Although there won't be any fireworks at the local Diwali celebration, there will be plenty of food (about 40 different items), a Bollywood-style DJ from Seattle, a professional bhangra music group, local performance groups and activities for kids.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The celebration runs from 7 to 11 p.m. at the Harman Center at Gailleon Park, 101 N. 65th Ave.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Reformation service is Sunday&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Several local Lutheran churches are holding a joint Reformation service Sunday afternoon.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The service begins at 4 p.m. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 801 Tieton Drive. An offering will be collected for disaster relief in the Gulf Coast. A meal will follow the service, which is sponsored by Bethlehem, Peace, Mount Olive, Messiah and Calvary Lutheran churches.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Church hosts spaghetti dinner&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Bethel Church of the Nazarene is hosting a spaghetti dinner Sunday night.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Donations will be accepted at the event for a work-and-witness mission trip at the event, which takes place from 5 to 7 p.m. at the church, 1103 W. Mead Ave.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Presentation celebrates St. Paul&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Yakima's St. Paul Cathedral Parish will present "Saint Paul: In His Own Words" on Wednesday night.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Pope Benedict XVI has dedicated the year -- from June 28, 2008, to June 29, 2009 -- as the Year of St. Paul to mark the apostle's 2,000th birthday.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The cathedral is holding several programs to celebrate its patron saint, including this dramatic presentation, which takes place at the church, 15 S. 12th Ave. A reception will follow in the Assembly Place, located adjacent to the cathedral.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The event is free and open to the public. A free-will offering will be collected.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Ahtanum Pioneer celebrates new pastor&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Ahtanum Pioneer Church announces its new senior pastor.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The Rev. Joe Miller, 42, has preached in 17 countries, including Russia, where he helped establish Camp Logos, a summer Bible camp for youth.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;He received a bachelor of science degree from the University of California, Los Angeles, and a master's degree in divinity from The Master's Seminary in Los Angeles. He's currently pursuing a doctorate degree in Biblical Counseling from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Ky.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;His wife, Tara, has a master's degree in family and child counseling from the University of Southern California. She is pursuing additional training from the National Association of Nouthetic Counselors.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The Millers have four children: Hunter, Dakota, Skye and Liberty.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Harrah church keeping its pastor&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;It's official: Jerral Campfield is the senior pastor at the Harrah Assembly of God Church -- indefinitely.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The Snoqualmie-based Northwest Ministry Network of the Assemblies of God recently gave Campfield the good news. The 72-year-old minister had been serving in that role since the end of June, but until recently it was an interim position.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;When he learned the network was planning to close the small church, he urged church officials to rethink the plan.&lt;/p&gt;
