<p>A 19-year-old man who was the driver in a shooting that injured two Sunnyside teenagers was sentenced Wednesday to seven months in jail.</p> <p>David Guillen had earlier pleaded guilty to second-degree assault, a reduction from his original charge of two counts of first-degree assault and one count of illegal firearms possession.</p> <p>Guillen had already been in custody for more time than he was ordered to serve.</p> <p>Bob Northcott, a special deputy prosecutor who handled the case, said he believed Guillen did not know his co-defendant was going to shoot at the pair of victims. One of the boys still has a bullet lodged in his back.</p> <p>Jorge Saenz, who was found guilty last month of first-degree assault, had earlier argued with the victims at the Sunnyside Wal-Mart because of their ties to a rival gang.</p> <p>Saenz awaits sentencing as Northcott seeks docu-mentation to support his belief that Saenz should be sentenced to life in prison as a three-strikes offender.</p> <p>He has two prior convictions for assault, although defense counsel has argued it should not count as a strike because he was a juvenile.
