  <body>&lt;p&gt;Oh man, is it back-to-school time already?&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Well, at least Central Washington University is already giving you plenty of options on how to spend your spare time -- whether you're a student or not.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Today, tickets go on sale for CWU's 2008-09 Performing Arts and Presidential Speaker Series. Here's the schedule:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;* Sept. 18 -- Performance by the Arctic Chamber Orchestra, the touring branch of the Fairbanks Symphony.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;* Oct. 8 -- Author, naturalist and free speech advocate Terry Tempest Williams will discuss environmental and social ethics.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;* Oct. 22 -- Performance by Los Angeles' Mariachi los Camperos di Nati Cano.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;* Nov. 1 -- Critically acclaimed mime Bill Bowers (a student of Marcel Marceau) explores the peace and balance that silence brings.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;* Dec. 13-14 -- "The Nutcracker: Two Faces." CWU's Chamber Orchestra and Jazz Band I take the stage together to perform side-by-side interpretations of this classic holiday story.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;* Jan. 11, 2009 -- CWU Music Faculty Ensemble Showcase.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;* Feb. 12, 2009 -- Grammy-winning male a cappella ensemble Chanticleer returns to CWU to perform renditions of pop, jazz, gospel and classical songs.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;* April 9, 2009 -- A talk by Dr. Bob Arnot, the globetrotting medical expert, former NBC foreign correspondent and host of the television series "Dr. Danger."&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;* May 7, 2009 -- Performance by Grammy-winning jazz-fusion guitarist and composer Earl Klugh.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;* May 2009 -- CWU's Central Theater Ensemble production of "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers."&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Season tickets are available by calling 963-1301, or through CWU's Student Union and Recreation Center ticket office, which is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays. Individual tickets go on sale Sept. 15. Complete series information is at www.cwu.edu/president/series.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Tickets are also on sale for these events coming to Central:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;* Comedic songwriter Stephen Lynch performs at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 26 in the student union ballroom.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;* Colin Mochrie and Brad Sherwood -- stars of the improv TV show "Who's Line is it Anyway?" -- will show off their on-the-spot antics at 8 p.m. Oct. 25 in the student union ballroom as part of Central's homecoming celebration.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Tickets to both of these shows cost $35 for reserved seats, $25 for general admission and $15 for CWU students and are available through the student union box office&lt;/p&gt;</body>
