For the past couple of weeks, local muralist Rick Fuller has been painting the North Third Street windows of the former Liquidation World building.

His latest public work features a brick facade and the different Yakima Farmers Market posters from over the years -- all 10 of them.

Yes, Sunday marks the opening day of the 10th annual downtown market, where you can stock up on fresh produce, locally made honey, baked goods and, of course, Miz Dee's super-popular -- for good reason -- barbecued ribs and chicken.

The Yakima Farmers Market is open from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Sundays through Oct. 26 in front of the Capitol Theatre, 19 S. Third St. More information is available at www.yakimafarmersmarket.org or by calling 457-5765.

Here are the other Valley markets that either opened last weekend (Prosser and Kittitas County) or will kick off the season this weekend (Goldendale):

* Prosser Farmers Market -- 8 a.m.-noon Saturdays in Prosser City Park, Seventh Street and Sommers Avenue. Info: 786-9174, www.
prosserfarmersmarket.com.

* Kittitas County Farmers Market -- 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturdays in the Wells Fargo Bank drive-through parking lot at Fourth Avenue and Pearl Street in downtown Ellensburg. Info: 888-925-2204, www.ellensburg-chamber.com.

* Goldendale Farmers Market -- 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturdays at 903 E. Broadway. Info: 773-3400, www.
goldendalechamber.org.

The Roslyn Sunday Market opens June 15 and will run from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Sundays through Sept. 7 at First Street and Pennsylvania Avenue. Info: 649-2695.
