State dance championships conclude YAKIMA -- The Washington State Dance and Drill Championships finished Saturday with competion for Class 1A, 2A and 3A schools at the Yakima Valley SunDome. Selah High School's pom team received a superior rating for its performance, while West Valley High School's pom team received an excellent rating. The singlewide mobile home at 871 West Slavin Road was engulfed in flames by the time the first firefighters arrived after the 5:17 p.m. alarm, said Capt. Joe Spear of the West Valley Fire Department. The structure and two cars parked in front were destroyed.
