Alene Elizabeth Warren

Alene Elizabeth Warren, 92, of Mercer Island, Wash., and formerly of Grandview, died Monday at her daughter's home in Mercer Island.

Mrs. Warren was born in Kennewick. She was raised and educated in Yakima and worked at her mother's grocery store. After she married, she lived in Seattle, Cle Elum and later moved to Grandview with her family in 1950.

Survivors include a daughter, V'Ella Warren of Mercer Island; a son, Glen Warren of Yakima; and one grandson.

Viewing will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday at Smith Funeral Home in Grandview. The funeral will be at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Grandview Christian Church, followed by graveside services at Terrace Heights Memorial Park in Yakima.

Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

 

Brenda Jean (Berndt) Lamery

Brenda Jean (Berndt) Lamery, 68, of Seattle died Sunday.

Mrs. Lamery was born in Yakima. She was a flight attendant for Northwest Airlines. She also had a career in residential real estate and retired in 2000 from the telecommunications industry.

Survivors include two daughters, Mary Lamery and Dianne Lamery, both of Seattle; a son, Rick Lamery of Olympia; three brothers, Paul Berndt and Tom Berndt, both of Yakima, and Steve Berndt of Olympia; and four grandchildren.

Memorial mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Reception will follow at Schoenburg Hall. Private inurnment will be at Tahoma Cemetery.

Keith and Keith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

 

Darrell Eugene Smith

Darrell Eugene Smith, 88, of Grandview died Friday.

Mr. Smith was born in Colfax, W. Va. He served in the Air Force as a flight officer and later taught school in the Oak Harbor (Wash.) School District, Sunnyside and Wapato school districts. He was also principal and later superintendent of schools in Grandview.

Survivors include a sister, Mary Smith Fleming of Tampa, Fla.

Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Friday at the United Methodist Church in Grandview.

Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

 

Richard Prigmore

Richard Prigmore, 70, of Sunnyside died Thursday at Hillcrest Manor.

Mr. Prigmore was born in Bellingham, Wash. He was a restaurant owner.

Survivors include a cousin, Sharon Herman of Fairbanks, Alaska.

Valley Hills Funeral Home and Crematory, Sunnyside, is in charge of arrangements.

 

Jocelyn Maples

Jocelyn Maples, 54, of Yakima died Aug. 18.

Mrs. Maples was born in Medford, Ore. She was a respiratory therapist. She lived in Tacoma, Puyallup, Wash., Lakewood, Wash., Yakima and Toppenish.

Survivors include a daughter, Melanie André Gideon; her parents, Joan A. Miller and William Raymond; and a brother, Stephen A. Raymond.

Medcure Cremation Center for Mortuary Services of Portland is in charge of arrangements.

 

Juan Luis Torres

Juan Luis Torres, 4-month-old infant son of Juan Torres and Barbara Villasenor of Yakima, died Thursday in Seattle.

Juan Luis Torres was born in Yakima.

In addition to his parents, survivors include five siblings, Juan Diego, Justus Juan, Kassanndra Annaliz, Juanito Nicholas, Marcelino Juan; and his grandparents, Antonia Delgado of Tieton, Juan Torres of Chicago, and Arminda Torres of Morelos, Mexico.

A graveside service is at 4 p.m. today at Calvary Cemetery.

Keith and Keith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

 

Juan Antonio Hernandez-Diaz

Juan Antonio Hernandez-Diaz, stillborn infant son of Juan Jose Hernandez and Miriam de Jesus Hernandez of Wapato, died Thursday at Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital.

In addition to his parents, survivors include a brother, Pablo Hernandez; his grandparents, Jose Gilibaldo Diaz Chavez, Maria Luisa Guillen Torres, both of Mexico, and Javier Hernandez and Rosalina Hernandez, both of Wapato.

A graveside service is at 10 a.m. today at Calvary Cemetery.

Langevin-Mussetter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

 

Angel Felix-Medina

Angel Felix-Medina, full-term infant son of Jose Felix and Margarita Medina, died shortly after birth Friday at Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital.

In addition to his parents, survivors include five siblings, Jose Felix, Michel Felix, Sintia Felix, Joshua Felix and Kevin Felix; and his grandparents, Maria Lara, Jorge Medina, Maria Lugo and Jose Manuel Felix, all of Mexico.

There will be no services.
