SELAH -- Josh Eaton scored on a bases-loaded wild pitch in the bottom of the seventh inning to earn the Yakima Valley Pepsi Pak a doubleheader sweep against Wenatchee on Monday at Carlon Park.
After the 10-5 and 3-2 victories, the Pak has a 12-6 record in Central Washington League play and a 33-13 record overall.
In the first game, Yakima Valley's John Plughoff went 2-for-3 with three RBI and Cody Edwards went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI.
Jake Fife threw a complete-game, giving up five runs on eight hits while striking out eight and walking one. He also helped his own cause by going 3-for-4 with two doubles and three RBI.
In the second game, Eaton's game-winner was proceeded by Cory Urquhart's game-tying double.
Edwards pitched the nightcap and gave up two runs on six hits.
Yakima Valley will play a double-header at Wenatchee today starting at 5:30 p.m.

YOUTH BASEBALL
WVBC splits with Kennewick
Garrett Olson's bases-loaded walk scored Tucker Leppa to push the West Valley Baseball Club past Kennewick 11-10 in the first game of a doubleheader on Monday.
Brad Andreas and Mickey Onustock had three hits apiece and Tanner Edler was 2-for-4 with a home run in the first game.
Kennewick won the second game 12-9.
Lucas Hinton homered to drive in two, while Olson went 2-for-4 with 2 RBI for West Valley Baseball Club (26-16).
* East Valley beat the West Valley Bees 8-7 for third place in the Big Stick Tournament at Selah's Carlon Park on Sunday.
West Valley's Jake Nell hit a two-run home run and Colby Patnode and Cody McDonald each had two hits. East Valley highlights were not reported.
Selah Juniors heading to state
The Selah Junior All-Star team beat Yakima Junior All-Stars 15-9 to claim the district title on Saturday at Eisenhower High School.
Kurt Lindemann was
3-for-4 and Jack Cananaugh was 2-for-4 for Selah.
Selah will open state tournament play today in Mount Vernon against Key Peninsula. The tournament runs through July 24.
YOUTH BASKETBALL
Elite splits games, out of Showcase
SEATTLE -- The Yakima Elite finished pool-play with a 2-1 record after beating the British Columbia 17's 61-51, but lost their first game of bracket play to the Emerald City Pioneers 70-65 to end their run at the Northwest Premier Showcase.
Matt Borton led the Elite (30-8) with 19 points and seven rebounds against British Columbia, and Wade Gebbers had 14 points and six assists against the Pioneers.
There was a scary moment in the game against the Pioneers when Borton and a member of the Pioneers banged heads with five minutes left in the game. Borton left the game with an apparent concussion.
TENNIS
Filliol, Fossum among local winners
Alexis Filliol and Zori Fossum advanced to the semifinals of the Girls
18 Champs singles at the Yakima Valley Junior Champs Tennis Tournament at the Yakima Tennis Club.
Ben Chang, Nathan Mount and Jorge Pacheco all advanced to the quarterfinals of the Boys 16 Challenger singles, and Seth Gibbons, Cooper Anderson and Jeff Carlson advanced to the quarterfinals of the Boys
16 Champs singles.
Tournament play will continue today with finals on Wednesday.

GOLF
Curley wins Oregon lefty tourney
ALBANY, Ore. -- Yakima's Will Curley was the overall champion of the Oregon State Left-Handers Tournament, held Saturday and Sunday at the Golf Club of Oregon.
Curley won the low-gross title with a two-day score of 153, two strokes better than second-place Ethan Glaser of Albany.
It was Curley's third such championship.
Curley finished second in the senior net division with a handicap-adjusted score of 145. The division was won by Dennis Bruno of Condon, Ore., who shot 142.
AUTO RACING
Longton earns late model win
Mike Longton followed up his fast time in qualifying with a win in the late model main event Saturday night at Yakima Speedway.
Dan Obrist and Mike Zamora made up the rest of the top three.
Brian Pepper won the super stocks main, while Randy Marshall Jr. (hobby sportsman), Tyson Richter (hobby), Jacob Little (youth hornets), David Peterson (hornets) and Donnie Stevens (bump-to-pass) all notched victories.
