Toppenish business robbed at gunpoint

TOPPENISH, Wash. — A man with a handgun robbed a business in the 100 block of East Toppenish Avenue on Sunday, a police news release said.

The name and type of the business were omitted from the release and nobody at the Toppenish Police Department was immediately available this morning to comment further. According to the release, a man in his late teens or early 20s walked into the business just before 8 p.m. with a bandana over his face and a handgun. He demanded money from the woman inside, and she gave it to him. He left on foot.

Police are investigating and ask anyone with information to call 509-865-4355.
