YAKIMA, Wash. — Police say a fight over an ex-girlfriend led to a stabbing and the arrest of a 23-year-old Yakima man late Sunday.
Police say they arrested the suspect after he apparently confronted the woman and her 26-year-old male companion in front of the Yakima Cinema, 1305 N. 16th Ave., about 10:35 p.m.
Police Sgt. Shelley Upton said in a news release early this morning the victim was stabbed during an ensuing fight.
The wounded man was taken to a Yakima hospital for treatment of what are described as non-life-threatening wounds.
Police arrested the suspect at the scene and recovered the knife.
