Latest burn ban removed in Yakima County

YAKIMA, Wash. — A ban on burning is being removed because of an expected increase in winds that will disperse air pollutants trapped near the surface.

The Yakima Regional Clean Air Agency, which is responsible for parts of the county off the Yakama Indian Reservation, removed the ban at 10:30 a.m.

Agricultural burning with a permit and use of fireplaces and uncertified home-heating appliances are allowed.
