MATTAWA, Wash. -- The Grant County sheriff's office says a pregnant woman and her unborn child are dead after a shooting east of Yakima. It happened in Mattawa late Saturday night. The woman was seven-and-a-half months pregnant. Chief Deputy Ryan Rectenwald says police and emergency workers found the woman after receiving a report of shots fired. She died at Othello Community Hospital. Investigators have no information about the shooter and are asking the public for information. The woman's identity has not been released.
