GOLDENDALE -- A truck driver who was killed in a fiery rollover early Saturday has been identified as Harold R. Malcolm Jr.
The crash happened at 2:50 a.m. when a fuel tanker apparently hit debris in the roadway on State Route 14 about 36 miles southeast of Goldendale, according to the State Patrol.
The tanker slid off the road, rolled and caught fire, forcing closure of the highway for hours as crews cleaned up.
Malcolm, 44, was from The Dalles, Ore., the State Patrol said.
