Organizers of Yakima's 11th annual annual Polar Bear Plunge say they are still accepting registrations for Saturday's dunk in Sarg Hubbard Pond. Registration opens at 10 a.m., with contest judging at 11 a.m. and the plunge at noon. Individual participants are asked to donate at least $50, organizers said.

The money goes to Special Olympics of Yakima County. The event, usually organized by the Yakima County Sheriff's Office, was taken over by the Yakima Police Department this year.
