Burn ban ordered for most of Yakima County

YAKIMA, Wash. — A burn ban has been declared for all of Yakima County, except the Yakama reservation due to stagnant air conditions.

The Yakima Regional Clean Air Agency issued the ban on all outdoor burning or use of fire places or uncertified wood stoves unless they are the only source of heat for a home Thursday afternoon.

The ban does not affect the Yakama reservation, where the federal Environmental Protection Agency currently has no burning restrictions.
