YAKIMA, Wash. -- The Yakima School District is looking for a few good kids. Nominations are open for the district’s 19th annual Yakima Youth Awards.
Local residents ages 5-19 can be nominated for the following categories: Arts; Business/Enterprise; Civic/Community Service; Family Life; Leadership; and Personal Achievement. There is also a Small Group Category (up to nine members) and a Large Group category (10 or more members).

Nominations must be submitted by 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 17.
This year’s ceremony will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday, March 5, at Perry Technical Institute. All nominees will be recognized at the event, and award winners will be announced.
