James W. Epting

James Woodroe Epting, 94, of Yakima died Friday. Mr. Epting was born in Mt. Olive, Minn., and served in the Army during World War II. He lived in the Yakima area for most of his life, working as an automobile mechanic.

Survivors include a son, Ronald Epting of Yakima; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Visitation will be from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday at Shaw and Sons Funeral Directors in Yakima. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday, also at the funeral home. Interment will follow in West Hills Memorial Park.

 

Glenn G. Gill

Glenn Gordon Gill, 84, of Yakima died Monday at home.

Mr. Gill was born and raised in Yakima and served in the Merchant Marines. He worked for Boeing and then returned to the Valley and worked in heavy construction.

Survivors include his wife, Myler Gill of Yakima; six children, Audie Gill, Robert Gill, Patricia Rogers and Catherine Odom, all of Yakima, John Gill of Dallesport and Nancy Weeman of Tieton; a brother, David Gill of Yakima; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A memorial will be held in the spring. Arrangements are by Shaw and Sons Funeral Directors.

 

Joseph L. Jackson

Joseph L. Jackson, 66, of Yakima died Wednesday at Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital. Mr. Jackson was born in Vancouver, Wash. He worked for Martin Marietta Aluminum in Goldendale until he took a medical retirement in 1977. He moved to Yakima in 1983.

Survivors include two daughters, Patty LeBlanc and Robin Johnson, both of Yakima; a sister, Delores Croswell of Washougal; and five grandchildren.

A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Terrace Heights Memorial Park. Arrangements are by Valley Hills Funeral Home and Crematory of Yakima.

 

Michael L. Timlin

Michael Lewis Timlin, 68, of Yakima died Dec. 28. Mr. Timlin was born in Yakima. He was an electronics technician, with a majority of his expertise in the Navy.

Survivors include three sons, Michael Timlin, Kenneth Timlin and Richard Timlin, a daughter, Michelle Timlin; and a sister, Cheryl Avarado.

Arrangements were by Langevin-Mussetter Funeral Home of Yakima.

 

Felicia Cavazos

Felicia Cavazos, 80, of Sunnyside died Jan. 26. Mrs. Cavazos was born in Asherton, Texas. She worked as a counselor for several years.

Survivors include six children, Manuel Cavazos III of Bonney Lake, Robert Cavazos of Yakima, Jose Carlos Cavazos of Dallas, Rene Cavazos of Las Vegas, and Nora Whitaker and Glenn Cavazos, both of Sunnyside; three sisters, Francisca Zavala of Othello, and Gina Zavala and Linda Marquez, both of Pasco.

A memorial service will be at a later date. Arrangements are by Smith Funeral Home of Sunnyside.
