Free food available for people in need
Free produce and perishables will be distributed to people in need from noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday at Grace Lutheran Church. No appointment, documentation or proof of income is required.
A truck provided by Second Harvest Inland Northwest will bring 10,000 pounds of food, and a farmers market setup will be used to distribute the produce. Attendees are asked to bring a box or two to hold their food.

Bible study/cancer support group to meet
Lamplight, a community Bible study and support group for cancer patients, will meet from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at North Star Lodge in Yakima.
The topic: "Fear and Trust: God if you love me, prove it!" Bring your own lunch.

Lidstroms to sing at Wiley Union Church
Local gospel vocalists Dale and Rita Lidstrom will sing at the 10:15 a.m. worship service at Wiley Union Church on Sunday.
The Lidstroms live in Yakima.

Love INC to hold volunteer orientation
Love INC of Yakima will hold a volunteer orientation from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday featuring a wide variety of volunteer opportunities available in Yakima.

Taize service offered at St. Michael's Episcopal
St. Michael's Episcopal Church will offer its monthly Taize prayer service at 7 p.m. Sunday.
There will be a rehearsal at 6 p.m. Musicians are encouraged to bring instruments and accompany the meditative singing.
