Zillah session to focus on cutting farm energy costs

ZILLAH, Wash. -- Farmers interested in reducing their on-farm energy costs are invited to a Feb. 15 informational meeting at the South Yakima Conservation District office, 200 Cheyne Road in Zillah.

The meeting begins at 6 p.m.

The topic is the Environmental Quality Incentives Program Energy Initiative. Farmers are eligible for federal cost-share funds for energy audits and to implement energy-saving practices.

The meeting is co-sponsored by the U.S. Department of Agriculture Natural Resources Conservation Service and the conservation district.
