EASTON, Wash. — A Bellevue man was injured Sunday afternoon when his car collided with another vehicle on Interstate 90 east of Easton.
The Washington State Patrol said Kirk Ferrier, 44, was taken to Snoqualmie Valley Hospital for treatment. A hospital staff member said no information would be released about Ferrier’s condition.
A patrol accident memorandum said Ferrier, driving a 1999 Volkswagen Passat, was eastbound five miles east of Easton when he lost control.
The car left the roadway, struck a barrier and returned to the road surface where it struck a 2002 Mitsubishi Lancer driven by Christopher Brooks, 21, of Kent. Brooks, who also was eastbound, was not injured and was able to drive his vehicle away from the scene of the 12:55 p.m. mishap.
The accident report said driving too fast for conditions contributed to the accident.
Intoxicants did not play a role in the accident, the report said.
