* Brianna Cervantes has joined Farmers Insurance as an agent. Cervantes, who was born and raised in the Yakima Valley, previously worked in the finance and housing industries.

* Northwest Broadcasting has hired Doug Holroyd as general manager of the Fox affiliate KCYU-TV in Yakima, KFFX-TV in Kennewick and KAYU-TV in Spokane.
Holroyd comes to Northwest Broadcasting from Sainte Partners II L.P. in Modesto, Calif., where he was the general manager of 13 broadcast television stations.

* The Yakima Schools Foundation has selected Patricia Byers and Mike Latimer to be co-chairs of the Celebrate Our Youth Breakfast event in March. Byers runs a private mental health therapy practice; Latimer is senior vice president at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney.
