Free medical clinic set for Fridays in Tieton
New Country Church in Tieton is hosting a Union Gospel Mission free medical clinic on Fridays from 5 to 8 p.m.
The reception area is in the lobby of the church and there is a private examination room.
The church is at 813 Tieton Heights Road, in the old theater building on the south end of the town square in Tieton.
Soup and Bread Brunch at Wesley United
Wesley United Methodist Church will hold a Soup and Bread Brunch at 11:30 a.m. Sunday. The focus will be on learning ways to support the backpack ministry project in local schools.
The project helps feed needy children and families in the area.
The church is at 14 N. 48th Ave. in Yakima. Information: 509-966-2370.
Bible study/cancer support group to meet
Lamplight, a community Bible study and support group for cancer patients, will meet from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at North Star Lodge in Yakima.
The topic: "The Bible: Is It More Than a Self-Help Book?" Please bring your own lunch.
North Star Lodge is at 808 N. 39th Ave. Leadership team members are Marilee Shively, Bill Starr and Laurie Oswalt. Information: 509-452-5882.
