Wesley Church member to tell of new beginnings
YAKIMA -- Wesley United Methodist Church member Laurie Rader will share her story of new beginnings at the 9 a.m. worship service Sunday.
Tuesdays at 5:30 p.m., Yoga/T'ai Chi classes will resume and repeat at 10:30 a.m. Thursdays in the Gold Room. They are taught by Michael Moritz of Stillpoint Resources.

'Burning Bowl and Letters to God' service Sunday
YAKIMA -- Unity Spiritual Life Center offers its annual "Burning Bowl and Letters to God" service at 10:30 a.m. Sunday.
The ceremony gives people a way to let go of what no longer serves them while creating a vision of what they do desire for their lives. On small pieces of paper, participants write attitudes or thoughts that may be holding them back. One by one, each person touches the paper to the flame of the Christ candle and drops it into the burning bowl.
Then each person spends a few minutes writing about what they do desire in the year ahead. They seal the letter in an envelope which they address to themselves, and the letters are all mailed back next December.
The center is at 401 S. Eighth Ave. Info: 509-575-5551.
New Year's services Sunday at Bible Baptist Church
SELAH -- Bible Baptist Church of Selah offers a New Year's Day service at 10 a.m. Sunday.
The church is at 20 Tibbling Road, at the corner of Selah Loop and Tibbling roads.
