YAKIMA, Wash. -- Camp Prime Time and the Yakima Greenway Foundation are holding a 5K "Leftover Turkey Trot" on the Saturday after Thanksgiving to raise money for their programs.

This is the second time the groups have gotten together to host the event. Last year, the benefit run included 92 participants and raised $1,400.

Camp Prime Time sponsors families with children with disabilities or terminal illnesses to spend a weekend at camp during the summer, serving more than 1,000 kids a year. The Yakima Greenway Foundation maintains the Greenway parks and facilities.

People of all ages are invited to walk or run in the event, which starts at 10 a.m. Nov. 26 at Sarg Hubbard Park. Registration is $20 for adults and $7 for children 10 years old and younger.
