A fund to benefit the family of Afghanistan war veteran Joshua Stahl, 22, of Moxee, who recently lost both legs while serving as a scout on patrol, has been set up at Yakima Federal Savings and Loan.
Stahl, a sergeant in the Army's 82nd Airborne Division, stepped on a land mine a week ago.
A graduate of East Valley High School, Stahl was on his second tour of duty, having previously served in Iraq.
According to friends, he has been flown back to the United States and will be undergoing rehabilitation in San Antonio.
The Yakima Eagle Riders No. 289 has set up a benefit account at Yakima Federal -- 0100891918 -- to help his family with expenses. For more information, call Bobbi at 509-901-6350.
