GOLDENDALE -- Soroptimist International of Goldendale is hosting its third annual Group Health Golden Valley Bike Ride on Saturday.
The ride draws cyclists from throughout the Pacific Northwest and runs from Goldendale to Glenwood and back.
It's open to all levels of riders and features both moderate and challenging courses, including 100-, 65-, 45- and 30-mile options.
The ride is a fundraiser for the Soroptimists, a women's service organization whose projects include educational grants, women's health awareness campaigns and recognition for youth, among others.
Proceeds from last year's ride helped support a counseling program for children in Goldendale's domestic violence prevention service, Programs for Peaceful Living.
Registration can be done by mail or on the day of the ride. On-site registration is open from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the Goldendale Grange Hall, 228 E. Darland in Goldendale. The cost is $50. Dinner tickets for nonriders are available for $10.
