Cle Elum woman hospitalized after car strikes deer

CLE ELUM -- A 55-year-old Cle Elum woman was treated at Kittitas Valley Community Hospital for minor injuries after hitting a deer Monday night six miles east of town on State Route 970.

Cecelia Badda was released from the hospital after treatment for facial cuts and glass in her eyes. The 2006 Ford Mustang she was driving hit the deer just after 8 p.m., according to a Washington State Patrol news release.

She was wearing a seat belt, according to the release. The crash caused an estimated $5,000 damage to the car.
