Yakima accident victim still in hospital

SPOKANE, Wash. -- A 73-year-old Yakima man who was injured in a automobile accident Saturday night remains in serious condition in a Spokane hospital.

Otto Sieber was hospitalized at Sacred Heart Medical Center after his car drifted into the opposite lane and struck a pickup truck south of Northport, Wash., in Stevens County, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Sieber was driving a 1996 Ford Mustang, which hit a 2005 Dodge truck.

His passenger, Sean Sieber, 11, was treated and released from Providence St. Joseph's Hospital in Chewelah, Wash., a hospital spokeswoman said.

Neither was wearing a seat belt.

The driver and the three passengers in the truck, who were all wearing seat belts, were treated at Providence St. Joseph's and released.

According to a Sunday release from the State Patrol, possible charges are pending.
