Financial
* Financial Management Inc. has announced that Terry A. Cook is a new partner and financial planner in its Yakima office. Cook previously was a financial adviser with MetLife.
The company also has hired Jena Huck and Heather Ryan. Huck, a recent graduate from Central Washington University, joins the firm as an administrative assistant and marketing coordinator. Ryan, who has five years of banking industry experience, joins the firm as a business administrative assistant.
* Yakima Valley Credit Union has hired Andrea Haverfield as its new central operations manager. Haverfield has several years of management experience and more than 18 years of experience in accounting functions.
Prior to joining Yakima Valley Credit Union, Haverfield was the administrative vice president of operations and the director of the Leadership Yakima program for the Greater Yakima Chamber of Commerce. She also worked at Western Materials in Yakima. Haverfield will earn her bachelor's degree from Washington State University in business management and operations in August 2011.
Insurance
* Farmers Insurance -- Selah Insurance Services has added Tasha Huffines as a new insurance adviser. Huffines has been in the insurance industry since 2004 and will be working in personal lines.
* Jenna Curtsinger recently joined the staff at McGree Insurance in Yakima. Curtsinger worked as a district manager for Lamar Outdoor Advertising for more than eight years. She will join the commercial accounts department at McGree Insurance and will continue to provide service to businesses throughout Washington state.
Nonprofit
* Citizens for Safe Yakima Valley Communities has hired Nicole O'Connor as its interim executive director. She will assist the organization's board of directors and oversee administrative functions.
O'Connor, a Yakima native, earned her master's degree in nonprofit leadership from Seattle University in 2005. She also has a bachelor's degree from Whitworth University.
* The Central Washington Catholic Foundation has selected new officers and trustees for 2010-2011. The new officers are Daniel C. Fortier, Yakima, chairman; Merle E. Pedersen, Kennewick, vice chairman; Evan Jones, Richland, immediate past chairman; Rick D. Rutherford, Kennewick, secretary; and Kay P. Gamache, Yakima, treasurer.
The foundation's trustees are Matthew J. Anderton, Yakima; Jane E. Baldock, Wenatchee; Jane Dickinson, Moses Lake; Daniel G. Dufner, Cashmere; Thomas D. Mahony, Richland; Philip M. Raekes, Kennewick; John Riel, Moxee, Robert M. Siler, Yakima, and nonvoting member
