Gary Johnson empties a bucket of peppers just picked by his wife Jill into a box in the back of their SUV at Benedictos Fruit and Produce Aug. 31, 2010 near Wapato. The Johnsons, from Marysville, braved Tuesday's rain to pick onions, peppers and tomatos with which they will make salsa and other dishes. The Johnsons say they usually come to the Yakima area once a year to pick fruit and vegetables. They take two days, one day to find the u-pick field with the best produce and a second day to actually gather the produce.
