Nearly 50 dogs found malnourished in Goldendale

GOLDENDALE, Wash. — Nearly 50 dogs were seized after being found living in unsanitary conditions in a residence 10 miles east of Goldendale, Wash.

KGW News reports that the Klickitat Sheriff’s office moved in to seized the dogs after receiving a tip from a concerned resident.

The sheriff’s office says many of the dogs were malnourished, living in small kennels with no food or water and having wounds and other medical problems. In total, 48 dogs, including puppies were taken. The dogs included Rottweilers, German Shepards and Doberman Pinschers. Not all dogs were spared.

The sheriff’s office says they are investigating but expect to request charges against the 58-year-old resident.
