YAKIMA -- Fiesta de Salud -- a free community health fair -- is back for a third year, providing diabetes screenings, blood pressure checks, cardiovascular screenings and dental exams for kids.

The event runs from 10 a.m. t o 2 p.m. Saturday at Fiesta Foods, 1008 E. Nob Hill Blvd.

Last year the event provided free services to 2,500 people. Event organizers expect to see a larger crowd this weekend.

Dr. Mario Chenal will present information on cancer, and Dr. Miguel Alvarado, a naturopathic physician, will discuss natural and alternative medicines. Other professionals will present information on mental health, breast health, nutrition, physical therapy, rehabilitation and social services.

The fiesta will include games and crafts for children, free bike helmets courtesy of Seattle Children's Hospital, music, watermelon eating contests, giveaways and food. The event is sponsored by Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital, Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic and Fiesta Foods.
