EASTON, Wash. -- Two people were injured in a motorcycle-pickup crash that blocked one lane of Interstate 90, a mile west of Easton, on Sunday.
The Washington State Patrol said a passenger on the motorcycle, identified as Libbie Lozier, 51, of Spanaway, Wash., was thrown when the 2010 Harley Davidson struck the rear of a 2008 Toyota pickup driven by James Sears, 53, of Olympia.
Lozier suffered facial lacerations and was transported to Kittitas Valley Community Hospital.
The operator of the motorcycle, John Rothrock, 57, also of Spanaway, suffered a leg injury and was taken to Kittitas Valley Community Hospital for treatment.
According to a State Patrol accident memorandum, the pickup and the motorcycle were westbound on I-90 when Sears reduced his speed for slower-moving traffic.
The accident occurred at 1:25 p.m.
Both motorcycle riders were wearing helmets.
The motorcycle sustained $15,000 in damage. The pickup had $1,500 in damage.
