SUNNYSIDE, Wash. – A person was shot and killed Saturday night in Sunny-side, when someone in a car drove up and fired as the man was standing next to a bicycle, police said.

The male victim, whose age and name were not yet known, was in the 1400 block of Gregory Avenue, when an early 1990s white sedan drove up shortly before 6 p.m., according to a Sunnyside Police Department news release.

Police officers who arrived at the scene were told that the victim was shot in the upper torso several times. He was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
