ELLENSBURG, Wash. — Two Sunnyside residents are listed in stable condition at Kittitas Valley Community Hospital today after sustaining injuries in a car accident near Ellensburg this morning.
Anthony Lundquist, 19, was driving a 1996 Ford Aerostar van westbound on Interstate 90 at about 7:43 a.m. when his right-rear tire blew, according to the Washington State Patrol. Lundquist, who was 11 miles west of Ellensburg at the time, lost control of his vehicle. It rolled before coming to a rest in the median on its wheels, according to police.
Lundquist was transported to the hospital with neck and back injuries, while his passenger, 14-year-old Jeremy L. Luther, was transported to the hospital with a leg injury, according to police.
The vehicle was totaled in the accident.
