Eleonore M. Johnson
Eleonore M. Johnson, 82, of Yakima died Wednesday in Yakima.
Mrs. Johnson was born in Kitzingen, Germany, and lived in the Tacoma area, where she owned an import gift shop. She moved to Yakima in 2005.
Survivors include her husband, Percy T. Johnson of Retsil, Wash.; three daughters, Eleonore Reisdorf of Darmstadt, Germany, Jeanette Beatty of Vancouver, British Columbia, and Yvonne Lewis of Yakima; four sisters, Agnes Henssler of Basel, Switzerland, Marianne Nietlisbach of Zurich, Switzerland, Rosl Mallette of Mountain View, Calif., and Amanda Haigood of Long Island, N.Y.; four grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
Her family is planning a celebration of her life at a future date. Arrangements are by Langevin-Mussetter Funeral Home.
Perry W. Morrison
Perry Walter Morrison, 63, of Yakima died Monday at Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Morrison was born in Morgan City, La., and moved with his family to Yakima as an infant. He worked at a barber shop for many years and was a minister at Bethel AME Church.
Survivors include a brother, Harper Morrison of Dale, Va.; and two sisters, Linda Marzette of Yakima and Pamela Lee of Los Angeles.
A memorial will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Crescent Care Center, while another memorial will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Bethel AME Church, 515 S. Sixth St.
Arrangements are by Shaw and Sons Funeral Directors.
Phillip E. Hodge
Phillip Edward Hodge, 71, of Union Gap died Friday at his home.
Mr. Hodge was born in Okanogan, Wash., and moved to Yakima in 1956. He worked as a mechanic his entire life.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Hodge of Union Gap; a daughter, Brenda Rockett of Yakima; two sons, John Hodge of Davenport, Wash., and Ron Bryant of Union Gap; three sisters, Marge Hemstreet of California, Joyce Flowers of Yakima and Gladys Pruchinsky of Ohio; two brothers, Jack Hodge of Yakima and Billy Hodge of Ohio; 11 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
A memorial will be held at a later date. Arrangements are by Keith and Keith Funeral Home.
James T. McCafferty
James T. McCafferty, 83, of Nile died Thursday in Yakima.
Mr. McCafferty was born in Cowiche and served in the Navy during the Korean War. He worked for more than 30 years for Pacific Northwest Bell Telephone Co.
Survivors include his wife, Corinne McCafferty of Nile; a son, Patrick McCafferty of Cowiche; a daughter, Kathleen Sommerville of Nile; a sister, Ann Worden of Terrace Heights; eight grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren.
No services will be held at his request.
Arrangements are by Colonial Funeral Home.
Dorothy M. Keeler
Dorothy M. Keeler, 98, of Yakima died Friday at Summitview Healthcare Center.
Mrs. Keeler was born in Billings, Mont.
Survivors include two sons, Donald Edward Keeler of Sacramento, Calif., and Laurence Arthur Keeler of Yakima; three daughters, Denise Edna Keeler Coulson of Yakima, Kathryn Ann Keeler McDill of Seattle and Linda Jean Keeler of Poulsbo, Wash.; 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Burial will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Terrace Heights Memorial Park. Arrangements are by Shaw and Sons Funeral Directors.
Chuck L. Brown
Chuck L. Brown, 58, of Selah died Friday at his home.
Mr. Brown was born in Longview, Wash., and taught in Selah for 29 years.
Survivors include his wife, Kathy Brown of Selah; three sons, Travis Brown of Spokane, Brett Brown of Selah and Jason Brown of Garfield, Wash.; and four grandchildren.
A memorial will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Yakima.
Arrangements are by Keith and Keith Funeral Home.
