SUNNYSIDE, Wash. -- Police on Thursday afternoon arrested the third and final suspect in the shooting death of a 17-year-old boy north of Mattawa earlier this month.
Martin Ochoa Ramos, 41, of Sunnyside was arrested without incident in Sunnyside by local police and Grant County Sheriff’s deputies. Authorities did not disclose details of the arrest. Ramos was wanted on a warrant of accomplice to first-degree murder in the drive-by-shooting of Carlos Leyva of Beverly on March 7.
Leyva and two friends were walking along the shoulder of Road T.5 SW near Beverly, about 7 miles north of Mattawa, when the shooting occurred.
