YAKIMA, Wash. -- One eastbound lane of U.S. Highway 12 will be closed between Old Naches Road and Interstate 82 in Yakima starting today and running continuing until Thursday so crews can apply crack sealant.
Previously, the state Department of Transportation reported said the closure wouldn’t begin until Tuesday.
The closure will be in place from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. each day, according to the state Department of Transportation.
Transportation Department officials are asking motorists to use caution when passing through the work zone and pay attention to signs, arrow boards and barrels directing traffic.
