Ramon Encinas

Ramon "Tim" Encinas, 49, of Yakima died Monday at Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital. Mr. Encinas was born in Yakima.

Survivors include his parents, Faustino and Grace Ceballos; three brothers, Don Encinas Jr., Mark Encinas and Mike Gallegos; and a sister, Cherie Encinas.

Viewing will be from noon to 1 p.m. today at Holy Redeemer Church, followed by a funeral Mass at 1 p.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements are by Shaw and Sons Funeral Directors.

Judy Fryar

Judy Fryar, 83, of Yakima died Wednesday at home. Mrs. Fryar was born in Pittsburg, Kan., and was a welder and riveter for Boeing in Wichita, Kan., during World War II. She worked for more than 20 years for the U.S. Postal Service in Yakima.

Survivors include three daughters, Marianne and Sherry Fryar of Yakima and Kathy Lattin of Allyn, Wash.; three sons, Mike Fryar of Vancouver, Wash., Brian Fryar of La Center, Wash., and Nathan Fryar of Richland; a stepsister, Dee McCarthy of Lakeland, Fla.; 16 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. March 27 at Keith and Keith Terrace Heights Chapel.

Alfonso Leal

Alfonso Zenon Leal, 82, of Yakima died Thursday. Mr. Leal was born in Nuevo Leon, Mexico. He worked as an orchard foreman.

Survivors include a son, Alfonso Leal Jr.; two daughters, Elvira Loranz of Yakima and Elisabeth Kriewald of Seattle; and four grandchildren.

Dan T. Owen

Dan Thomas Owen, 54, of Yakima died Tuesday. Mr. Owen was born in Sunnyside and moved to the Yakima area in the late 1990s. He also lived in Kent, Wash., and worked for Boeing as a general laborer.

Survivors include his parents, Dan and Mavis Owen of Ephrata, Wash.; two brothers, Donald Owen of San Diego and Kenneth Owen of Seattle; and three sisters, Betsy Hyatt and Tara Owen of Yakima and Trudy Owen of Seattle.

At his request, there will be no funeral. Arrangements are by Langevin-Mussetter Funeral Home.

Loy Rogers

Loy Rogers, 88, of Yakima died Wednesday at home. Mr. Rogers was born in Everton, Ark., and lived in Yakima since 1946.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Rogers of Yakima; four children, Donna Fulton and Terry Rogers of Yakima, Judy Landes of Phoenix and Gylan Green (born Stanley Rogers); eight grandchildren and
10 great-grandchildren.

James W. Parent

James "Jim" W. Parent, 86, of Yakima died Wednesday at home. Mr. Parent was born in Detroit, and served in the Marines during World War II, Korean War and the Vietnam War. He worked as
an employment counselor.

Survivors include his wife, Leola Parent; four children, Kay, Mike, David and Patty; and three stepchildren, Bruce, Ashlynn and Greg.

No services are planned at this time. Arrangements are by Langevin-Mussetter Funeral Home.
