WAPATO -- Wine baskets, quilts and three loads of gravel are some of the items up for auction Saturday at the Wapato Chamber of Commerce's annual auction and dinner.

A catered roast beef dinner is on the menu, and a series of community awards will be handed out at the 6 p.m. event at the Wapato Community Center, 1009 S. Camas Ave.

Tickets are $25 a person, and reservations can be made by calling 509-877-4262. Tickets will also be sold at the door.

Other items up for auction are gift certificates for Miner's and Outback Steakhouse, rounds of golf, hotel stays, boxes of apples, artwork, jewelry, baked goods and gift certificates to area businesses.

A series of community awards will also be handed out. The Wapato American Legion Post will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award and winners of a handful of other awards will be announced at the dinner.
