Yakima, Wash. -- Two demonstrations are planned for The Tower on Yakima Avenue, where Sen. Patty Murray has an office.

Today, a rally against health care reform is planned at 11:30 a.m. in front of the Tower, at Third Street and Yakima Avenue, to protest Murray's support for the legislation. The event is sponsored by a coalition of groups, headed by the tea party of Yakima.

On Saturday, a rally against health care reform and immigration reform will be held there from 1 to 3 p.m. It is sponsored by the same groups.

Steve Edwards of the 9/12 Project in Yakima said organizers decided to add an anti-amnesty message on Saturday to counter a march on Sunday in Washington, D.C., by immigrant advocates.

Immigration reform advocates say more than 50,000 people from across the country will gather Sunday on the national Mall to demand what organizers say was a Democratic promise back in 2008 to pursue comprehensive immigration reform.
