• Marine Corps Pfc. Julio Quinonez, son of Esmeralda Arias of Sunnyside, recently completed training to become a warehouse clerk.
Quinonez graduated from Sunnyside High School in 2009. He joined the Marine Corps in July.
• Navy Reserve Seaman Recruit Robert S. Schriber, son of Deb Schriber-Barkley of Ellensburg and Steven P. Schriber of Westminster, Colo., recently completed basic training at Recruit Training Command in Great Lakes, Ill.
Schriber is a 2009 graduate of Ellensburg High School.
• Navy Fireman Jessica L. Gallagher, daughter of Jennifer Thompson of Selah and Kit Gallagher of Valdosta, Ga., is assigned to Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan.
The Reagan crew recently received the Battle Efficiency Ribbon. Known as the Battle "E" award, it is given to the most battle-ready carrier in the Pacific fleet.
Gallagher is a 2005 graduate of La Salle High School. She joined the Navy in July 2008.
• Army 1st Lt. Rob Moser has returned to Fort Richardson, Anchorage, Alaska, after a one-year deployment to Afghanistan.
Moser was part of the 4th Airborne Brigade Combat Team (Airborne), which served in three eastern provinces of Afghanistan and improved roads, provided vocational training in construction and civics, re-opened 29 schools, remodeled six medical clinics and improved three district courthouses.
Moser is the son of Jim and Helga Moser of Yakima. He graduated from East
Valley High School in 1989.
• Army Pvt. Eric M.
Williams has graduated from basic training at Fort Sill in Lawton, Okla.
He is the son of Norma Parton of Yakima. He graduated from Eisenhower High School in 2008.
• Army Pvt. Sean M.
Wilbanks has graduated from a combined basic-advanced infantry training course at Fort Benning, Ga.
He is the son of Lindsey and Sheila Wilbanks of Terrace Heights. He graduated from East Valley High School in 2006.
• Army Pvt. Edward R. Curtin has graduated from Basic Combat Training at Fort Sill in Lawton, Okla.
He is the son of Rita Curtin of Yakima. He graduated from Eisenhower High School in 2009.
