YAKIMA -- A 35-year-old Selah man convicted of possessing meth and cocaine with intent to deliver was sentenced to 30 years in prison Friday in federal court.

Javier M. Hart received his sentence in U.S. District Court in Yakima after a jury on Aug. 20,2009 found him guilty of possessing with intent to distribute about 2.5 ounces of meth and an unspecified amount of cocaine.

On Nov. 10, 2008, a probation officer discovered the drugs at Hart's house during a routine visit, according to a news release from the U.S. Attorney's Office.

He admitted to possessing with intent to distribute more than 50 grams of meth, the news release said.
