* Yes, there is a Seattle reggae scene; you can check it out for yourself tonight at the Yakima Sports Center when Dub Lounge International takes the stage. The band, which plays roots music as well as dancehall, is part of a Rasta movement that's carved out its own distinct territory from within the Emerald City's indie-heavy scene. They take the stage at 9 p.m. The Sports Center is at 214 E. Yakima Ave. Cover is $5.
Wednesday, March 17
* The Capitol Theatre's Town Hall Lecture Series continues with an 11 a.m. talk from former country music superstar Naomi Judd. As half of The Judds -- the other half was daughter Wynonna -- Judd won six Grammy Awards. Her lecture will deal with how she overcame an abusive relationship to raise two successful daughters on her own, the other being actress Ashley Judd. Tickets for the series, which is half over, cost $75 and are available at www.yakimatownhall.com. Single-lecture tickets are not available. The Capitol is at 19 S. Third St.

* The Dusty 45s will get things jumpin' when they come to town; there's no surer bet in local entertainment. The Seattle rockabilly-country-Americana mainstays have been known to cause spontaneous toe-tapping, uninhibited dancing and random howling. Check them out at the Yakima Sports Center, 214 E. Yakima Ave. The show starts at 9 p.m. Cover is $10.
