Tea party gathering rescheduled

YAKIMA -- A Yakima meeting for people to learn about the tea party movement has been rescheduled for next Tuesday.

Organizers say the original meeting, scheduled for Wednesday, was to have been held at the Highland Fruit Growers building on Wide Hollow Road, which was too small for the expected crowd.

The meeting has been reset for 7 p.m. at Glenwood Square's movie theater, 5110 Tieton Drive in Yakima.

The conservative movement opposes federal deficit spending.

More information is available by calling Kirk Groenig, organizer of the Remember Us We the People group, at 509-961-1527.
