Scholarships
* Eastern Washington University has awarded Presidential Scholarships worth $2,000 for academic achievements. Among the recipients are West Valley High School senior Charles LaCoursiere, who plans to attend EWU in the fall, and West Valley graduate Alisse Urlacher of Yakima, who is currently studying business at EWU.
Honors
* Darcy Morford of Selah was named to the fall semester dean's list at Carroll College in Helena, Mont.
* Jonathan Whitmore of Yakima was named to Whitworth University's academic honors Laureate Society for fall semester.
* Ambria Brantner of Yakima was named to the fall dean's list at the University of Mary in Bismarck, N.D.
* Pacific Lutheran University fall dean's list honorees include: Jake Wavrin of Mabton, and Erik Reierson, Scott Wall and Robin Klein, all of Yakima.
