CLE ELUM, Wash. — A Chelan, Wash., man was killed after rolling his pickup on Interstate 90 just west of the Cle Elum exit on Monday, the Washington State Patrol reported.
Richard Hess, 63, died at the scene about 4 p.m.
Hess was eastbound in a Nissan Titan when he left the road to the left, overcorrected, crossed both eastbound lanes and rolled, troopers said. The pickup landed on its wheels on the right shoulder.
The cause of the crash remained under investigation, but authorities said Hess was incorrectly wearing his seat belt.
Investigators said they did not know whether intoxicants were involved.
