Construction

* The Central Washington Home Builders Association has selected new board officers and board members for 2010.

Officers are Justin Wolff, New Creation Construction LLC, president; Steve Senger, Senger Construction LLC, president-elect; Curtis Dodge, Boise Building Solutions Distribution, vice president; and Ron Holmes,
2 Busy 2 Cook, secretary/treasurer.

Board members are Jim Thomas, J.L. Thomas Construction; Scott Nedry, Fosseen's Home & Hearth; Eric Torres, Pacific Contracting LLC; Jean Brown, Cabinets By Design Inc.; Brandon Huff, Pro-Build; Bradley Meyer, Top Knotch Construction; Nathan Towell, Towell Construction; Jeff Schafer, Merle Inc.; Scott Gust, Gust Builders; and Jason Gokey, All Around Underground Inc.

 

Economic Development

* New Vision, the Yakima County Development Association, has elected new officers for its board of directors.

They are Michael Shepard, Yakima Herald-Republic, chairman; David Murray, Wheatland Bank, vice chairman; Jon Smiley, Sunnyside Community Hospital, secretary; Doug Rich, Prestige Realty, treasurer; and David Miller, LeMaster & Daniels, past chairman.


Finance

* Northwest Mutual Financial Network has recognized Lina Alvarez, a financial representative at its Yakima location, for top sales production for the Spokane Network Office out of all financial representatives with fewer than 10 years of experience. Alvarez specializes in personal needs analysis for individuals and businesses.


Insurance

* Wells Fargo Insurance Services has promoted Carla Savage to the senior vice president position. Savage, who was most recently vice president and employee benefits consultant, has 23 years of employee benefits experience, working the past 20 years for Wells Fargo Insurance Services in Yakima.

 

Law

* Menke Jackson Beyer Ehlis & Harper has hired Dana Evans and Quinn Plant as associates. Evans graduated cum laude from Thomas M. Cooley Law School with a concentration in litigation. She is also a graduate of East Valley High School and Jamestown College, where she had a double major in English and history/political science and a minor in philosophy.

Plant spent seven years as a U.S. foreign service officer, with diplomatic postings in China, Burma and Fiji. He has extensive background in immigration matters. Plant graduated summa cum laude from the University of Hawaii Law School and was a clerk for the Supreme Court of Hawaii.
